Laurel Cove Music Festival Lineup Announcment

The highly anticipated 2021 Laurel Cove Music Festival lineup is here in full. Bell Co, KY (Southeast Kentucky) is home to one of the finest music scenes in the entire country and a jaw dropping mountain scenery that will have you counting down the days until you return.
The Laurel Cove Amphitheater is nestled into Pine Mountain in Pineville, KY, a unique venue with wooden benches set on top of stones in the back half and seat backs near the front. A small pond separates the concert goers from the stage setup. I was lucky enough to attend the Going to the Woods show back in October and everyone was very courteous towards all of the COVID guidelines, while still being able to enjoy the full concert experience.
This year’s LCMF will be held on June 11-12 and headlined by heavy hitters Lost Dog Street Band, Arlo McKinley, Sundy Best, & Morgan Wade. Rounding out the festival are a slew of regional favorites and a little band from Texas called Mike & The Moonpies.
We have The Local Honeys who have recently released new music along with signing with La Honda Records and have built quite the following with their old time sound. 49 Winchester who bring their brand of Appalachian Soul from Virginia and have become one of my favorite bands to listen to. Wolfpen Branch, a bluegrass supergroup featuring members of The Wooks, Relic, 23 String Band, & Newtown and are in the process of preparing their debut album. Up and comer Cole Chaney, fresh off of his debut single release, will have an amazing new album that will have had time to marinate for concert goers and is sure to bring a chill to the summer mountain air. Sydney Adams, Chelsea Nolan, Tiffany Williams, Jen Tackett, & Chloe Edmonstone make the female presence a strong one with powerhouse voices, excellent musicianship, and the storytelling to match.
What Jon Grace and the folks at Bell County Tourism have been able to do with this music scene in such a small community continues to impress me. This isn’t a once a year thing, a constant flow of music is rolling through Southeast Kentucky and that’s in big part to them.
